Abstract
Frequent consumption of highly processed snacks and street-food items has contributed to poor dietary habits and nutrient deficiencies, particularly in communities where these foods are eaten every day. Providing a healthier yet familiar alternative, specifically a vegetable-infused chicken product, can help encourage more balanced dietary choices. By combining lean chicken breast with nutrient-rich vegetables such as carrots and potatoes, Veg n’ Chick offers a snack that delivers better nutritional value while still satisfying consumers’ preference for flavorful, convenient food. This feasibility study evaluates the proposed Veg n’ Chick business through five major aspects: market, technical, organizational and management, socio-economic, and financial. The venture aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG #2 Zero Hunger, SDG #3 Good Health & Well-being, SDG #8 Decent Work & Economic Growth, SDG #12 Responsible Consumption & Production, and SDG #17 Partnership for the Goals. With an initial planned investment of ₱82,726.34, Veg n’ Chick aims to distribute vegetable chicken nuggets, including its product Star Bites, through its established food stall. Financial projections indicate strong market acceptance and favorable profitability ratios for healthier fried snack alternatives. Based on the findings across all aspects, the proposed Veg n’ Chick enterprise is deemed feasible, profitable, and strongly recommended for implementation.
