Many Filipinos struggle with unhealthy eating habits, often relying on convenient, nutrient-poor foods that contribute to health problems. Providing healthier and accessible options can help improve dietary patterns and promote overall well-being. One beneficial alternative is the banana blossom, a Filipino ingredient known for its versatility and nutritional value. It is high in fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, and other plant-based nutrients. Additionally, it serves as a substitute for fully meat-based or processed fillings commonly used in snacks like siopao. In response, the proponents conceptualized the feasibility of Bite2Blossom, a food business offering banana-blossom-infused siopao combined with ground pork, providing a healthier, flavorful twist on a Filipino favorite. The feasibility of the business was assessed through five key aspects: technical, market, organization and management, socio-economic, and financial. The proposed business aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 2 – Zero Hunger, SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals. The proponents plan to invest P120,815.76, covering Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE), Net Working Capital (NWC), and Set-up costs. Results showed expected net income of P285,003.64 in 2026, P378,751.00 in 2027, P479,454.47 in 2028, P587,402.63 in 2029, and P702,879.37 in 2030. Feasibility analysis indicates a Net Present Value (NPV) of P1,726,708.29, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 272.32%, a Profitability Index (PI) of 15.29, and a Discounted Payback Period (DPP) of 0.45 years. Based on the data presented, the proposed project is financially feasible and viable; therefore, it is recommended for implementation.
